If customers can’t or don’t want to self-schedule, will they be directed to come to WorkSource, call or both?
They will be told to call. In addition to the phone number for their local WorkSource office, the letter claimants receive tells them:

  • They must attend an appointment by a certain date.
  • How to schedule an appointment and what to bring.
  • What to do if they already returned to work full- or part-time.
  • What happens if they don’t attend, don’t schedule or reschedule an appointment.

For your review, linked is this letter in English and Spanish.

We all know claimants will come to WorkSource for help scheduling an appointment. Will resource room staff help them to self-schedule, or will only designated RESEA schedulers assist by either helping customers to self-schedule or by doing it for them?
All ESD WorkSource staff will have access to and training in the RESEA Appointment Scheduler and should help the customer schedule an appointment.

If claimants call, should employees forward the call to the RESEA scheduler or walk them through the online process by phone?
All ESD WorkSource staff will have access to and training in the RESEA Appointment Scheduler and should help the customer schedule an appointment.

RAS versus Qtrac Clarification:
QTRAC, our new scheduling tool, was launched on Wednesday, June 30th. We thought it would be important to remind staff assisting customers that have requested help in scheduling an appointment that there are two statewide scheduling systems, just like there have been multiple programs.

Claimants who are identified for RESEA will receive a letter by US mail requiring them to schedule and report for an Initial RESEA Appointment at WorkSource. Instructions on how to access the RESEA Self-Scheduler (RAS) are included within this letter. Customers could also receive an email, reminding them of this mandatory appointment.

RESEA customers could want or need to schedule an appointment in both the RAS and Qtrac systems, but the needs of these appointments are different. For RAS, their appointment is mandatory and for the Qtrac system, they could want assistance with other available WorkSource services. There is no RESEA appointment option available in Qtrac to help avoid confusion.

Local offices will need to ensure that staff are asking appropriate questions to ensure they direct customers to the correct system – RAS or Qtrac.

Please check out esd.wa.gov/resea-help for additional information on RESEA appointments, FAQs and other helpful information, such as an appointment scheduling tutorial.

If I use the Submit question tool in the RAS Scheduler, who answers my question?
Your question will go to an inbox staffed by Teresa Sparks and Josh Gray.
